b. The "Advertising Standards" and the "Franchise Agreement" apply to and govern Internet home pages or other forms of advertising on the web. Regardless of who designs or maintains a home page, the Franchisee is responsible for any Internet communication performed on their behalf.

c. Franchisees who have questions or wish to seek approval of a particular home page may submit their proposal to CDNS. Franchisees are expected to meet the highest ethical standards and ensure that their communications are factual and are not misleading.

Please remember that violations of advertising guidelines are considered a material breach of the Franchise Agreement and could result in a fine of up to £500 and/or termination of the franchise. While we strongly encourage advertising that helps build business, we also feel that proper business building can occur only when information is accurate and preserves the rights of others.

d. Domain names or sub-domain names may not contain any proprietary marks of Harris Research, Inc. Such marks are identified from time to time in paragraphs 7 & 8 of the Advertising Standards section of this manual. Also, use of the name Chem-DryÒ in any form in a domain or sub-domain name is a violation of the Franchise Agreement unless the domain name is hosted by the ISP assigned by the Master Franchisor or that the Master Franchise is the registered owner of the domain name.

Franchisees MAY use HRI's marks within the text of a home page.

e. Franchisees are prohibited from using or disseminating information, which, in any way, may disclose any confidential information, data or trade secrets of HRI or CDNS. For example, without limitation, Franchisees may not disclose Company proprietary information such as all or part of the Quality Standards and Procedures Manual, franchisee lists, etc.

f. The Internet may not be used in any way to sell to customers outside of the Franchise Territory as defined in the Franchise Agreement. All customer inquiries from outside of the Franchise Territory as a result of an Internet display must be referred to a Franchisee servicing the Franchise Territory they are calling from.

Any home page or similar ad on the Internet MUST state the Territory served. The statement should read "Serving only (Franchise Territory)". (Underline included here for emphasis, not required on a web page). Each franchise's home or main page must have a visible hyperlink to BM__Hlt489417960 www.chem-dry.co.uk

g. Franchisees should take care not to violate the rights of others. For example, Franchisees should not use or disseminate the name, image or likeness of any person on the Internet without the express written permission of such person. Franchisees should not use or disseminate any materials developed by others or based on materials developed by others without the express written permission of the owner of the materials. This is true whether such materials are covered by copyright or could be covered by copyright. For example, without limitation, Franchisees should not use text or articles from others on the Internet.

h. Franchisees ARE authorized to use advertising materials distributed by CDNS, however, you should take great care not to modify the content or to make any specific representations not contained in such materials. Chem-Dry materials that have expired or been withdrawn may not be used. Upon the expiration or withdrawal of any previously used materials they must be promptly removed from the Internet.

i. You may only advertise those Chem-Dry approved services for which you are certified. Advertising for other businesses or services Franchisees may own must not be included with Chem-Dry information. Franchisees are likewise prohibited from placing hyperlinks to other web sites on any Chem-Dry associated web page.
